Say What? I thought Usher and the former Ms Tameka Foster wedded in the attorney’s office. Well according to UsWeekly, they are planning an official wedding ceremony this weekend in Atlanta.

Usher and his wife Tameka Foster arrive at the opening of Jermaine Dupri’s Studio 72 in Tucker, Georgia on August 29, 2007.

The rumored event will be more in line with the couple’s original plans for a ceremony and celeb-filled celebration. That gathering at the Hamptons home of record exec L.A. Reid was canceled at the last minute on July 28 in favor of a small private gathering days later on August 3. Guests are rumored to include Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson, Ashanti, and Diddy.
We hear that Raymond, 28, and Foster, 36, are holding the party in Atlanta so friends and family will be able to attend easily. SOURCE: US Weekly
Okay, y’all is it really ncecessary to attempt a 3rd wedding. The 1st wedding didn’t happen, the 2nd wedding happened in an attorney’s office…enough already.
Why not have a Labor Day weekend party/celebration party? Why another wedding? I’m all for love and all, but come on now. Besides, some of y’all know how I feel about the whole thing (Usher Do NOT Wed), but hey if it works for them, who am I to say anything.
P.S. - For someone who supposedly had a pregnancy scare (one of the rumors why the 1st wedding didn’t take place), Ms. Tameka is always out at some event. The average pregnant woman would be relaxing at home…maybe not on complete bed rest; but she wouldn’t be out galloping at all these events either.

I started drinking Jamba Juice several years ago while in Dallas. I would get one on those days I ran errands on my lunch break. I just came across an article about my favorite meal substitute.
Jamba Juice has made its way onto virtually every corner so that we can all feel the power of 100% fruit juice, but you may be feeling more than fruit juice here folks. These so called smoothies are heavily loaded with calories and sugar.
No wonder I like it…it’s full of sugar…here I thought I was doing well by not eating a burger. To Read more…

I was tagged by Mrs. Grapevine to do the The Face Behind the Blog. She was tagged by Lisa C.
Since I’m revealing all, let me tell you a little about me. I am the author of several novels. Be on the look out for Paige’s Web (coming to a store near you in October). Some of my other books are My Invisible Husband, Roses are thorns, Violets are true and Double Platinum (coming 2008).
Anyway, here’s some pictures I took when I was having fun with my cell phone.

AP Photo: Leona Helmsley and her dog Trouble.
Actually, I don’t know the dog, but sure wish I did. In fact, if they are taking applications for a dog caretaker, hit me up. I’ll keep Trouble, a/k/a the 12 million dollar dog, well fed and dressed. When she eats steak, so will I (can’t have Trouble eating alone, now can I?) We could also get our hair and nails done and dont’ forget the shopping. We could wear matching outfits.
Better be nice to your rich relative or you’ll be just like the Hemsley offsprings, wondering, why in the h-e double l did Leona leave a dog $12 million.
Thanks Rich for your breakdown on Leona Hemsley’s will. To read more, visit The Rich House.

It seems Bobby isn’t too happy about the child custody arrangement with Whitney. According to legal papers Bobby filed, Whitney is supposedly blocking him from seeing their daughter Bobbi Kristina.
These reports counteract the reports on the gossip circuit about them two getting back together. Apparently those pics were taken when Bobby was trying to convince Whitney to let him see their daughter.
Whitney isn’t no different than other women. A woman scorned will sometimes make the mistake and try to keep the child away from their daddy. Hopefully, the issue will be resolved soon. Regardless of what we may think about the daddy, a child needs his or her father in their lives.

Venus Williams of the United States chases down a volley from Ioana Raluca Olaru of Romania at the US Open tennis tournament in New York, Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007. (AP Photo/Kathy Willens)
Venus goes to the next round in the U.S. Opens and Eurweb.com reports, she also launched her new clothing line.
*Shortly before beginning play this week in the U.S. Open, Venus Williams attended the official launch of her fashion line EleVen at retailer Steve & Barry’s in New York.
The store partnered with Williams in the creation of the 120-piece collection, the largest ever launched by a female athlete.
The line includes nine styles of athletic footwear in a variety of color ways, track suits, fleece outerwear, street active apparel, graphic t-shirts, puffy down jackets with removable sleeves, denim jackets and jeans, velour items, tote and gym bags, jewelry, sports socks and bras.
I’m rooting for Venus on and off the court.

How many times will you put yourself through the same types of pain? When is enough really ENOUGH?
I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but sometimes you can’t. For example, a man I dearly loved. I thought the second time around things would be different. In fact, he assured me things would be and because I was starry-eyed in love I believed him. Of course the first month or two, he was on his best behavior. I was wined and dined and all that jazz. My guards went down and then one day I woke up and he was back to his old tricks. When I brought it up to him (because communication has never been one of my weak points), he thought I was nagging for no reason. Red flag.
When did voicing your concerns become nagging? If you’re with someone in what is supposed to be a committed relationship, shouldn’t you be able to tell that person any and everything and you work it out?
Anyway, to make a long story short, I thought this man had changed for the better, but he didn’t change his stripes, but only changed his spot(s)–he moved from one part of the Dallas metroplex to another (new spot); he no longer had the same job, had a better one (new spot); told me all the things he thought I wanted to hear (new spot) but that’s the thing…when he got tired of pretending, the REAL man resurfaced and all I saw before me was the same man I thought I had left behind.
Lesson for me, an ex is an ex for a reason and shall remain an ex.
Have you ever gone back to an ex? Has one of your siblings done something and you swore you wouldn’t give in to them the next time? What about the friend that drains you with his or her drama but is never there to listen to you? When do you finally say “enough is enough?”
