Have you taken a vacation this year yet? Are you looking for a weekend getaway? What do you do when you need to make plans at the last minute? I found using internet sites like HotelReservations.com (http://www.HotelReservations.com) to book my hotels, flights and/or car reservations is so convenient.
Using online services like HotelReservations.com (http://www.HotelReservations.com)saves not only time, but it can save you money. The deals I found on HotelReservations.com (http://www.HotelReservations.com) worth taking a second look at.
Whether you’re looking to go to a warmer climate like Miami or Honolulu or travel out of the country to places like Cancun or London; the prices on HotelReservations.com (http://www.HotelReservations.com) are compatible to some of the other sites out there. The site runs specials so I have it bookmarked.
I’ve been on several cruises. I saw a few cruise specials I plan on looking more into. I’ve always wanted to stay in a Bed & Breakfast. As you can tell, I have so many options; just need to decide on where I want to go on my next vacation. I’ve been utilizing the city guide to get a quick overview of various locations. For me the price and location go hand in hand. I like cheap prices, but don’t want to be staying in a rat hole either; so the star ratings are very helpful.
While on the site, I noticed that whether you’re booking for one or a group, you can get a price rate. If you’re like me though, you’re not looking to take a gang of folks with you. I like travelling solo.
If you have the need to talk to a live representative or feel uncomfortable booking online, there’s a toll free number on the site you can use to book your next trip.
I know I’m long overdue for a break. How about you?

JL King’s written about it and R Kelly has song about it.
Do you think there’s a D-L (Downlow) epidemic spreading the nation? Although I know there are men out there on the DL, fortunately I haven’t had a personal experience with one.
I would hope that I would know. Just like when a man cheats…warning signs are there. We either choose to act on them or ignore them. I feel that I would see some type of warning signs. But quite honestly, in my heart I wouldn’t want to believe that he was gay or cheating on me with a man, so I would probably be in a state of denial first and only God could help him if my instincts proved to be true.
How would you deal with finding out that your man that you’ve been married to or dating is bi-sexual, gay or whatever word you want to use?

This week I’ll be busy working on a rough draft for another novel. I will track my progress during the week. I won’t say what this one is about until I’ve typed the last word, but I can say I’m having fun writing it. It took me awhile to get started because I had to learn all of my characters. Now that I do, I’m being used. Yes, I said it. The characters are using me and in order for them to stop I have to get this story written.
Current WIP
The book of the week is Innocent In Death by J.D. Robb(aka Nora Roberts). I’ve been reading this series for the last couple of years. Eve and Roarke are my favorite futuristic suspense couple.

Here’s information about Martin Lawrence’s new movie. I saw the movie trailer and it looks funny. I look forward to seeing it; although after taking my nephew for an audition, he didn’t get chosen as an extra. My nephew looked more like a relative of his than some of those other kids, but I’m not complaining, oh no

What do you do when life throws you a curve ball? You throw one back. Lately it seems no matter how hard I work, something always wants to get in the way of me achieving my goals. There have been times I will admit, that I wanted to throw in the towel; but something inside of me, says “Halt. Regroup. Try going at it from a different angle.”
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t but even still I can’t allow the bumps of life to keep me down. I dust the insecurities off and keep pressing forward. Has this happened to you? Have you been trying to accomplish a goal but it seems like you keep running into a brick wall? Does it seem like “everybody” else is doing what they want to do with their lives but you’re stuck?
How do you get over this hump in your life and continue pursuing your goals, inspite of life’s complications? Below are a few tips that have helped me and hopefully will help you:
- Meditation – Regardless of what your religion is, prayer works. Prayer and Meditation helps you block out the world and concentrate on the issue at hand. No interruptions from the phone, family or friends. This is your “me” time. Just you and God. One on one. Be quiet. Listen.
- Talking About It – Sometimes it helps to talk to someone else about your issue. Maybe you’re too close to the situation and a trusted family member or friend can shed a new light. Sometimes they may not have any advice, but just an ear to listen to you vent; but regardless, talking about it may help shed a new light to your situation.
- Vacation – When life gets too busy or hectic, sometimes you must take a vacation. Take a cruise, visit a place you’ve always wanted to see. If you can’t afford to get away, tell people you are going on vacation and make your home your vacation getaway. Turn off the cell phone, get off the internet (can’t believe I said that…smile), and turn off the TV. See how it feels to do absolutely nothing or start that hobby you’ve been putting off.
- Read a Book – Reading can be relaxing and educational. It depends on what you’re reading. If you’re trying to keep motivated, pick up one of many motivational books and see how you can apply some of the principles to your life. If you need a mental escape, reading a book for entertainment will do the trick.
Regardless of what method you use to regroup, do so. Don’t allow life’s frustrations to deter you. You have a goal in mind, things will come up, but you can’t give up. When life throws you a curve ball, you will bounce back.

How many times have you dated someone because you considered them to be “your type?” Sometimes people get involved with “their type” and then the relationship doesn’t work. They again find another person with the same qualities they consider “their type” and end up in another dead end relationship. Well if YOUR TYPE is not working out, maybe you need to change your criteria of what you’re looking for in a mate, because maybe “your type” isn’t working for you.
Women, if you only date men who are over 30 but younger than 35, you may be short changing yourself. The man for you might be 36 or 29. What if the man for you is a “blue collar” worker instead of part of the “white collar” world? Shouldn’t him being a hard worker, making an honest living count for something? Do you only date men who are tall versus short? Your Mr. Right, might be in a smaller package.
Men, you say you don’t want a “gold-digger” but are you really looking beneath the surface or do you only want a showpiece? Most women are independent, so men are you able to deal with the whole woman? If you treat her right, she will allow you to be the “king” in her world.
Are we too judgmental when it comes to looking for “our type?” What are some things you “just can’t do without” in a potential mate?
