Favorite Black Comedies

There’s nothing like a good laugh to relieve some stress. No matter how many times I watch them, they all seem to make me laugh.

What are some comedies that no matter how many times you see them, you laugh almost as hard as you did as if it was the first time watching it?

  5. Hollywood Shuffle and Friday have the classic comedy quotable lines…. “Damn! What time yo mama leaving?” “Puff, puff, pass…” “Y’all ain’t got nothing in here that match… peanut butter no jelly…”

“There’s always work at the post office…” “You killeded my brotha. He was my only brotha. We was cooool.” “You betta run before the polices come…” “Afros….” “Ho cake! Hos gotta eat too…”

Don, some of these movies I didn’t see as a child but as an adult and you know it’s funny if the movie is old and you can still laugh…Good humor doesn’t get old.

Linda, I do enjoy a good comedy.

Gwyneth, I’m cracking up laughing remembering those lines. From Friday…”My grandmama gave me that chain”

Celeste, girl I’m Gonna Get You Sucka was hilarious. I have most of these movies on VHS. I need to get them on DVD.
