Rhonda, thanks for stopping by. As long as you’re not trying to sell it, I don’t think there’s an issue. For example, I use the music on my CDs and download them to my mp3 and I’m not paying additional funds to download them to the mp3 player.

Julia, that’s unique. I will have to try that.

Cilla, I listen to Southern Girl by Frankie Beverly to motivate me sometimes

Dera, I will have to do a search for their music. I like to listen to different genres of music.

Darnetta, nothing like some good neo soul on a playlist.

Hey Niambi

My playlist is mostly neo soul (Erykah Badu, Floetry, Meshell N’d…, India Arie, Musiq Soulchild–> who could hit IT if he wants to…lol) but I also have some Teena Marie, Lisa Stansfield, Madonna, a dribble of R Kelly (yes, I’m still bumpin the Ignition remix…lol) Then of course I have a little Beyonce and Jay Z , Lil Kim, Tupac, Eminem, Devin the Dude, and some other hip hop stuff. I’m not really feeling Mary J right and I’m sad about that. Oh, I forgot one of my favs that I listen to everyday… Crusin by Smokey Robinson (and I have the redone version with Gwenyth Paltrow TOO…that gurl gotta little voice on her…lol)

I could go all day, so I’ll stop. Great tour stop!

Hey Niambi, I love your playlist. My daughter, Rebecca got me set up with an MP3 player before I left for Cuba. She did me up right. There was John Coltrane, Jay Z, After, Keyshia Cole, Sade, Brian Culbertson, Marvin, Al Green, Kanye West, you get the idea.
My playlist now includes Ibrahim Ferrer and Pablo Menendez, who gave us a special concert. Of course Sade is always on my playlist. Kem, John Legend, Miles Davis and Jaheim have been getting regular play.

I am a music fan also. Last year when Beverly Jenkins published Deadly/Sexy, she recommended that readers listen to Frankie Beverly and Maze. Boy it was hot… I wish I had Niambi’s list when I read From Dusk to Dawn. I’ll do that when I read it again… Loved the article Sheila

Hi, Rhonda: Phyllis Hyman had the most rich and beautiful voice!
See, I remember all that other bulky stuff that you had to lug around (or not) in order to be mobile with music. This little old thing is a gift to my ears. As far as “rights” I don’t make any profit off the CD - but give it as a gift.

Hi, Beverly: Yet another thing we have in common! I’m a fan of DeeDee Bridgewater and Diane Reeves as well! As far as vocalists, Carmen McRae, Dakota Staton and Sarah Vaughn are pure gold. (And thanks for the compliment on From Dusk to Dawn :)) Who are some of your Latin & Afro-Latin favorites?
