About Stacy Deanne’s New book Melody:
Melody Cruz is certain her sister’s new boyfriend, the wealthy, charming and handsome Keith Taylor, has a dark past that he will do anything to hide. Wanting to protect her sister, Melody works to uncover Keith’s secrets, not realizing that in doing so, she is sacrificing her own safety—because Keith will go to any lengths, dangerous or violent, to keep himself in control.
At the same time, a man named the “Albany Predator” has been brutally raping black women throughout the city, and Melody is convinced that her best friend is the rapist’s next target. Detectives Brianna Morris and Steven Kemp are placed on the case, determined to bring the sadistic felon to justice. But when things couldn’t get anymore complicated, all evidence is turned around to reveal a surprising suspect.

I was hoping with this entry I would add your book to my collection of beautiful African-American Novels. Praying and wishing the best. Thanking you for your time. Blessings Chaquyrya.

I agree with Stacy’s comment on love but I’d like to take it to the next level. Love to me is quite spiritual. As a matter of fact, for a lack of a better word, devinely so. I mean we’re all made in God’s image right? Well God is more than fact, He’s Truth! He judges by love. Which the KJV calls Charity. It’s located in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 It states that amongst Faith, Hope and Love, that Love is the greatest of them all. Love should be your highest goal. You see God is Love and we are created in our Father’s image which is Love. For those of you whom are wondering why things aren’t exactly going your way, you should try lining up spiritually with His word (Under His Will). Anyway, for those whom are seeking, “Iron Sharpens Iron” right Stacy? Peace and Much Love, Kennywoo

I love to read books by Black authors….People say that we’re not intelligent! HA! They have it all wrong! We’re about the most intelligent… it’s all about how we use that intellingence! GOD gave everyone a gift…..You have the gift to tell stories! I will pick up this book! It’s well worth the read! I can tell a great book when I see it. I’m not all about what a book is about, but in fact, how’s it’s written. It doesn’t have to have sex, violence, and the steriotypical things that may or may not go on in the urban neighborhood. It has to do with intelligence with inginuity, dignity, and how you want that story to end. A book has to hold my interest, whether it’s in the beginning, middle, or towards the end. But honestly, I love a book that holds that interest from BEGINNING TO END! I feel that this is that kind of book! Hold your head up and keep doin what u do, sista gal!
GOOD LUCK WITH MUCH SUCCESS! @-}
Sincerely,
Paula @-}

The book sounds great. I think I will enjoy this book but whether I win or not I just want to let everyone in operations of this book that it is a great thing that you are doing. Me being a teen with many dreams, I love to come on to blackplanet just to talk to intelligent individuals like yourselves. I say it is God because more than anything my older sister would be able to connect to this because she just recently went through something similar to the first stanza and my mom went through something similar to the second stanza. Also I believe this book will touch a lot of souls because Ms. Deanne is not just an author but she is also a counselor, mediator, and a soul with an important message. I’d love to read your book just to face my pain with an old school remedy: intelligence from a friend. I need you to give me a book because I’m still going to buy it. Anything to continue this new beginning. You all make me well pleased to black. Power to the people!!! P.S. Can you add me as a friend so I can stay updated? Thank you and God bless.

“I’LL TAKE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK IF YOU LIKE, TO THE VERGE OF BLISS AND THE MEDIAN OF FOREVER AND ALWAYS,”
WERE THE WORDS I SPOKE.
MORE AND MORE WE WATCH THE VALUE OF LOVE INCREASE.
SALVATION HAD NO ROOM FOR GROWTH, SO THERE IS NO RELEASE.
YOU DREAM A DREAM OF BEING RICH IN LOVE AND HIGH ON IT’S GRACE.
THANKFULLY, JOY COMES IN THE MORNING, LIKE SUNRISE ON YOUR FACE.
A LONELY HEART, FILLED WITH LOVE, STILL BEGGING FOR MORE.
A LONELY HEART …STILL BLACKENED TO IT’S CORE.
“I’LL TAKE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK IF YOU LIKE, TO THE VERGE OF BLISS AND THE MEDIAN OF FOREVER AND ALWAYS. ”
EYES WIDE OPEN, LIPS SEALED TIGHT.
LONGING AND WAITING TO BE LOVED RIGHT.
ONCE BELIEVED DREAMS WERE WAITING TO BE LIVED.
DESIRES DISAPPOINTED, EXHAUSTED IS MY WILL.
EMBRACING TRUE LOVE, FORSAKEN BY IT SO….
TO SAY THAT LOVE’S WEALTH IS PLENTY …WELL I JUST DON’T KNOW.
“I’LL TAKE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK IF YOU LIKE, TO THE VERGE OF BLISS AND THE MEDIAN OF FOREVER AND ALWAYS,”
STILL THE WORDS I OWE.
** I GOT NEXT **

Congratulations on your new book! It is nice see another successful woman. When I was reading your interview, I noticed that we have a few things in common. I love music, and your thoughts on ‘love’ is how I feel also. If you don’t have someone to love you and for you to love, your world seems like it isn’t complete.
As far as your book, it seems very interesting and I would be honored to have an autographed copy of it. Thank you.

May God have his hands in all that you do and to the success of your new book. Your view on love is so true and if most people would have this idea about love it would be so wonderful. Love does make everything worthwhile. May God continue to Bless you with your endeavor!

One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying
in some way this qoute is how most of us live our lives.even tho we don’t want to admit it but thats how we live our life.we know we only have one life so some of us no most of us live it that way.but the only problem we worry about what other people say or what other people may think of us.so we sacrifice who you are that is a fate worse than dying.belief is a strong weapon and i’m not talking about belief in God.because everybody belief in there is a heaven and a hell.i’m talking about belining in yourself knowing the distance that you will go your limits.just like melody she is certain her sister new boyfriend have a dark
secret that he’s hiding.and just to keep her sister safe she will run into a buring house if she have to just to keep her safe.thats why i like your favorite quote because to me it’s saying be yourself and never give well that is just my opion.
but the book melody sound like it will be a very nice book to read.

As for the things to come in your life, always remember to put GOD first. And you will see all the blessings that He already have waiting on you, but it’s up to Stacy that determines when she is allowed to have them. GOD bless
P.S. Friendship isn’t about whom you have known for the longest, it’s about who came and never left your side.

Now she has my style of fashion. Besides the point, the book sounds like a real “thriller”. From the summary; the novel seems to reveal love, betrayl, action, and suspense. Great ingredients for a novel!!!

Congratulations on your new book, sista. It’s always encouraging to see an enterprising black wo/man achieve such a lofty goal of being published by a major entity and being so well received. In many ways a win for one is a win for all. I respect your skills and intellect and look forward to a prosperous and ongoing career for you. So, what’s next, movies for Lifetime?
