I got the idea for this meme from Princess Dominique.
A few things that make me smile:
Hearing my mom say Good Morning.
A hug from my grandmother.
An email from two of my best friends.
The sound of my nephew’s voice calling me “auntie.”
Getting caught up in a good book.
Sneaking in the house before my nosy neighbor can see me.
An email from someone who has read one of my books or interviews.
Sitting on the porch in the country enjoying nature.
Getting into my favorite pair of jeans.
The fact that you’re reading this.

THINGS THAT MADE ME SMILE…just this morning
Waking up,
The fragrance of Issey Miyake on my man’s neck
Strong, Sweet, Black, Coffee,
Reading a book, simply to enjoy it,
You blogging about things that make you smile!
angelia
I’m reading, Shelia, so you keep smiling!
I’m smiling because I will meet my mother’s plane this afternoon. She’ll be staying with us until the day before Election Day, and we’ll be partying all weekend long in celebration of her 90th birthday! I will get to see a brand-new grand-nephew and other family members, including my mother’s 92-year-old sister, and everyone’s excitement at coming to be together has me grinning from ear to ear! I’m even smiling as I vacuum, now what does that tell you?
Oh you have one of those nosey neighbors too huh?
Things that make me smile:
1. my blog family
2. My mama on the phone
3. Cheese fries (this daggone diet, can’t have any right now!)
4. Blogs… period. It’s so interesting to be able to be “let inside” people’s lifes that you have never met.
5. I woke up this morning, healthy (albeit, with a little chub) and in my right mind.
Angelia, I love the smell of Issaye Miyake…that and Unforgiveable by Sean John.
Bettye, I hope you enjoy time with your mom and family.
PrincessDominique, well I actually have 2 nosy neighbors, but the one I’m referring to is so nosy, you can barely get your door open before she’s looking out her door.
Nikki, good health is priceless.
Thanks ladies for stopping by.
The sound of my nephew’s voice calling me “auntie.”
Made me miss my neice.
