You had better damn believe dating is like a job interview. Hell, it is a job interview. You are interviewing for the opportunity to be in someone’s life, (and vice versa) perhaps until death do you all part. It would be in that person’s best interest to go a lot further than just asking questions. It doesn’t have to be in a suspicious manner, but there is nothing at all wrong with being a bit inquisitive. The sum of the person’s experiences coupled with the subsequent growth, or lack there of, that comes along with that can shed a lot of light on a person’s character. Although we were taught differently and try to practice not judging in everyday life, that is exactly what should be doing when we engage, or begin the process of engaging in a relationship. Ask away; it’s only your life and happiness that are on the line!
