Inauguration 2009 – This Moment in History
As I prepare to get ready for the day’s festivities I have to reflect on how important this day is to our nation’s history. My only regret is that my father and grandfather and others that went through “the struggle” aren’t here to witness it.
I’ll be watching the festivities from the comfort of my room. I’ll be logged on later. Stop by and let me know how you’re spending your Inauguration Day. What thoughts went through your mind when Pres. Obama took the oath of office? If you’re in D.C., please email me some pictures and I’ll post them to the blog: sheliagoss@aol.com.
For those of you who like my image that I created above, I’ve included a blank one for your use. Happy Inauguration Day.

Sistah Shelia,
Isn’t it an AWESOME day?
Be Blessed!

This is such a great day!
I am always watching from the comfort of my home
I am sitting watching the tv and doing nothing else – which is a first for me as I almost always watch tv and do something else at the same time.
Angelia, an awesome day it is!!!
Beverly, I usually do other things too but today I’m just chilling and watching TV…and enjoying sharing this moment with my mama here and my friends online.
You’re right Shelia. You have to stop and pause. I’m in awe.
I am at work. but I have a direct line to the TV set on CNN. I wish I was home, and maybe I should have been a bad girl and called out sick like the other people did since there was no time available. So I am a little mad about not being bad and calling out.
Multitasker that I am, I hopped on the treadmill right after the benediction and kept moving until after the inagural (pardon my spelling; I know that’s not right) address. So I’m both sweaty AND happy!
Linda/LaShonda/Bettye, I’m still watching inaugural events on tv…I don’t think I’ve watched this much TV at one time since I was in high school.
