Last week I finished and turned in my edits for the first book in my new teen series the Lip Gloss Chronicles. For the remainder of the month I’ll be working on a new manuscript, so I’ll be in and out. I hope everyone’s week is off to a good start.

The author of the Essence & Black Expressions best-seller My Invisible Husband is back with her fifth novel – His Invisible Wife.
REVENGE…LUST…HOLY MATRIMONY
Texas businessman Jacob “Jake” Banks is about to lose his business and everything else he’s worked for until his uncle dies and leaves him as the executor of his estate–only catch is, he has to marry and marry a specific woman in order to cash in on the inheritance. Big problem, since Jake has vowed to be a bachelor for life.
Brianna Mayfield is at her last rope. Her father lost his business due to Jake’s uncle turning down a loan. She’s convinced this caused her father to fall into a deep depression. She blames the Banks and vows to pay them back one day. When she sees an ad in the paper for a job at her self-proclaimed enemy’s company, she feels her luck is turning around. She applies and is later approached by Jake with a proposition she can’t turn down.
How far would you go for a million dollars?
His Invisible Wife can be pre-ordered on Amazon.com. It will be in stores in July.

I’m honored that my book Double Platinum is a Simply Said Best Read of 2008. The news is a great way to start off my year.
Check out the full list at: http://simplysaidreadingaccessories.blogspot.com/2008/12/bests-reads-of-2008.html and while there take a look around.
About Double Platinum:
Double Platinum is about R & B mega star Parris Mitchell. To the world, it seems like she has it all. But with a declining career, she has nothing left but disappointed fans and growing depression. Hit Maker and Playboy Casper “CJ The Hitmaker” Johnson is looking for a new sound. He needs her voice. She needs her career back. Their drama from groupies and people from their past becomes the source of plenty of print for the paparazzi.

If you read my post over at Reader’s Rooms on Friday, I talked about authors reaching out to other authors. Today I received an email about an author needing our help. I don’t know Sharon Cullars personally, just through blogland. I know we’re all going through economic hard times, so whether you say a prayer or give a contribution, I’m sure she will appreciate it.
Sharon Cullars, the author of Again and The Object of Love needs our help. Since losing her job, she has been unable to find another. As a result, Sharon is about to lose her home to foreclosure.

Any donation you can make to help out will be greatly appreciated. You can make a contribution via PayPal by stopping at CHIP IN: SHARON CULLARS.
If you’re not familiar with Sharon and would like to learn more about her and her work, you can visit her web site (Sharon Cullars) and blog (Sharon’s Muse).

Happy New Year!!! Thank you for hanging with me another year. May God grant you your hearts desire.
My year is starting off busy–which is a good thing–because I’m doing what I love to do. I will be working on edits for one book and I am on deadline to complete another manuscript, so I will be in and out this month.
I’m also guest blogging in a variety of places throughout the month so I’ll update the blog with those locations as they become available. Be sure to check out my monthly blog post at the Reader’s Room (formerly Blogging in Black) on January 2nd.
In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy the first day of this new year.
