Stop and Smell the Roses

Do you feel like you’re in a rut? Are you tired of doing the same old thing day in and day out? I have a solution: Stop and Smell the Roses.
A lot of times we get so busy with life, that we forget to stop and enjoy our surroundings. Lately, every morning when I wake up, I’m greeted by the beautiful sounds of birds chirping outside my window. It’s music to my ears.
I know things happen and we get busy working on this project or that or a family member needs us. We have to stop letting life pass us by. Whether it’s birds chirping or noticing the new bloom on a flower, take the time each day to enjoy your surroundings. Live your life instead of letting time slip by.

I FEEL YOU ON THAT….I HAVE SO MUCH GOING ON IN MY LIFE NOW….TIME IS PASSING ME BY…I NEED A VACATION!!
Meachy, I know what you mean. I had to regroup and try to enjoy the simple things in life more.
That’s how I felt when I saw the green shoots that mean daffodils coming up in my yard; or the lilac bush beginning to bud. Gratitude does that too; it has a way of making us appreciate our life’s blessings.
Shelia,
I am trying not to worry about bills, food, my job. I am taking it one day at a time and I believe it will get better soon. I am taking a vacation next month for my 28th wedding anniversary and my husband birthday. I will leave my worries at home for a week.

Niambi, I bet that was a pretty sight to see. We have so many things to be grateful for.
Roxie, happy early anniversary. Sometimes it only takes getting a way to get us out of a rut. I hope you and your husband have lots of fun.
We all need to stop and chill out. last week while with my son, dil and first grandchild I did a lot of relaxing and guess what the world was still there when I got back…
