Many on the threads complain about teens reading adult books, well there are options and The Lip Gloss Chronicles has enough drama to capture teens attention, yet they are clean reads with lessons in between the pages.

Review of Paper Thin:

Ms. Goss does a wonderful job with this book of showing young women as they really are. She allows them to be selfish and loving, impatient and supportive and mostly, realistic. The reader is allowed to see how young people act when their lives change and how they deal with the economic struggles that hit their families. One of the more poignant messages deals with weight and self-esteem issues. We also get to see the young ladies deal with the timely and disturbing problem of violence among girlfriends and boyfriends. Paper Thin is an entertaining and enlightening book geared towards young people, but I recommend it to all readers. Congrats to the New Orleans Saints for their first NFC Championship that has led them to Super Bowl XLIV. Ironically, the first year that I actually like watching football is the first year my home team goes to the Super Bowl.

What I like about the Saints is that they never gave up. Even when their back was up against the wall–they kept their eyes on the prize and came out with the victory.

Sort of reminds me of life. Sometimes life throws us against the wall, but instead of giving up, we must dust ourselves off and keep pressing on.

I couldn’t write this post without saying how much it seemed that the officials were cheating against the Saints at every turn; but like life–what God has for you is for you and nobody can take it away from you.

To all the Saints fans and those that are not–remember in this life, you will face many obstacles, don’t give up and don’t give in–keep pressing forward and if it’s God’s will, you will come out the victor!

There’s nothing like seeing a man in a uniform; especially the black and gold–New Orleans Saints uniform.  Darren Sharper wears #42 well. The Saints signing him was a great decision. One team’s lost, is another team’s gain. He’s one of my favorite players in the NFL. The picture doesn’t do him justice.

Stats: Experience, Cute Smile, Pretty Eyes equals Hot

Every team has to have a bad boy. Usama Young, #28 of the New Orleans Saints, got into a little trouble in the fall, but you would never know it with that million dollar smile.

Stats: Sexy, Bad-boy and today’s hottie.

One positive thing came from my last relationship–a new found appreciation for football–specifically the NFL. Pre-relationship, I only watched the Super Bowl and that was only because of the food and commercials. Post-relationship, I can appreciate the game and the players.

As my home team gets ready for their quest to reach the Super Bowl, I want to highlight one of my favorite NFL  hotties–#25 from the New Orleans Saints–Reggie Bush.
