lol Rhonda. I’m looking at everybody’s list and my favorite list keeps getting longer and longer.
1. Roots (Old-School. Several love stories, Kunta Kinte and Madge, Chicken George and His Wife are the two couples I remember 33 years later.)
2. Beloved (Paul D and Seth; I loved the book and the love scene where Paul D (Danny Glover) kissed Sethe’s (Oprah’s) scarred back with tenderness, thereby humanizing her as a woman, not as an animal.
3. Claudine (Real old-school)
4. Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner(Fine old-school Sydney Poitier)
5. Plus the late Bernie Mac’s Guess Who?
5. Jason’s Lyric
6. The Best Man
7. The Wedding
8. Malcolm X (The love between Malcolm and Betty Shabazz)
9. Mo’Betta Blues (Fine Young Denzel)
10. Love Story

I hadn’t seen Body and Soul in ages. I would love to get some of the movies you all have mentioned on DVD.
Love Jones is my absolute favorite of all time… I watch it at least once a month.
I also love The Notebook, Waiting to Exhale, Brown Sugar, Their Eyes were watching God, The Wood, Hitch… I could seriously go on and on so I’ll just stop there.

I haven’t seen The Notebook, but you’re not the only I know who loves that movie. I will have to watch it soon.
Love Jones is just one of those movies I can watch over and over.
Thanks for all you do.
