Me too Marilyn.
I was wondering whether or not anyone is keeping statistics on the correlation between giveaway contest and sales and ARCs and sales for African-American authors.

Enyl, not sure. ARCs and giveaways are used for promotional purposes. ARCs and giveaways are not just done for African-American authors. I’m pretty sure if it wasn’t beneficial to the publisher, they wouldn’t allow a certain amount to be used for these purposes–because the bottom line is the authors and the publishers want to make money.
I give away books for two reasons. #1- I love to be generous
and #2 It gives me exposure to someone who may not have ever taken a chance on reading my books. Most of the time if a person reads a book and like the author’s style of writing, they will make a point of getting the author’s next book. Also if they like the book, they will tell others about it.
Word of mouth is the best type of promotion.
I’m a huge fan of Terri Wood’s books. I love reading sequels to see were the author decides to tale the characters or introduce new one. I hope I get selected to receive Dutch II.
Sheila, I love your blog and what youhave created. I’m a fan on your FB page.

I would love to read part 2.
Sounds very interesting, I love sequels. Now I’ll have to search the library for the first book.
I’d love to enter! Thanks!
I have been told that I don’t know what I’m missing having never read a Terri Woods novel, so I was estatic to learn about this contest.
I haven’t read anything by this author before. I like to try new authors out. I have read a lot of good books that way.
I really like the fresh perpective you did on the issue. Really was not expecting that when I started off studying. Your concepts were easy to understand that I wondered why I never looked at it before. Glad to know that there’s an individual out there that definitely understands what he’s discussing. Great job!
Sounds interesting. Please enter me. Tore923@aol.com
