About The Glamour of Grammar:
Early in the history of English, the words “grammar” and “glamour” meant the same thing: the power to charm. Roy Peter Clark, author of Writing Tools, aims to put the glamour back in grammar with this fun, engaging alternative to stuffy instructionals. In this practical guide, readers will learn everything from the different parts of speech to why effective writers prefer concrete nouns and active verbs. THE GLAMOUR OF GRAMMAR gives readers all the tools they need to”live inside the language”–to take advantage of grammar to perfect their use of English, to instill meaning, and to charm through their writing.
Contest open to US and Canada residents only. Void where prohibited by law. The winners will be notified via email. If the winner hasn’t responded within 48 hours of the initial email with their shipping address, the next name pulled will be the winner.

I so need this book! English was/is my worst subject. I blame it on my mother who was an English major and it was my way of rebeling.
I’ve always loved grammar, and I’d love to read this book. I’m on your email list and I’m crossing my fingers.

This book would greatly help me in my writing! Would love to win. Already a member of your mailing list.
I am interested, trying to conquer this hurdle. I am horrible at grammar. I think the terminology got me in the 3rd grade. I cringe when I hear perfect participle, infinitive, and so on. Plus, diagramming sentences for a 8 year old was too much. SMH.
As an author this sounds like it could be a valuable tool
