If you are in New Orleans, this Saturday (11/5/11) I will be signing books at the Tom Denton Literary Festival from 11 am – 1 pm at New Orleans Main Library on Loyola Avenue. Hope to see you there.
Today is the anniversary of my dad’s death. Although it was 15 years ago, it seems like it happened yesterday. I’ll be traveling on this day to New Orleans but will be reflecting on the time I did have with him before he died. I wish he could have been around to see me now. He was always one of my number one fans, long before I published a book. Love you Dad!

I’m back from New Orleans. I had a great time at the Bayou Soul Writers and Readers Conference. I got a chance to be on the panel with several of my favorite authors like Reshonda Tate Billingsley, Wahida Clark, Francis Ray and Mary B Morrison. I was in the company of literary royalty and learned some things while sitting in on some of the sessions.
I would recommend the conference to be added to your calendar for next year. Below are a few pictures from the event:
