African American Read-In | Black History Month Celebration​
Created by the National Council of Teachers of English, the African American Read-In highlights the importance of literacy during Black History Month. This year, The Dock Bookshop is collaborating with the African American Museum in Dallas to host a powerful community-centered event.

The day will feature public readings, poetry, book discussions, vendors, and opportunities to meet authors as students, local leaders, and community voices bring African American literature to life. With a blend of education and entertainment, this event is designed for both adults and children and celebrates the richness of African American literature.
